Founded in 2023, AZ Precision Rifle builds upon the solid foundation laid by AZ Long Range PRS, which began in 2007. What started with a small group of shooters seeking to challenge their marksmanship skills has grown into one of the largest PRS-style organizations in the Southwest. Back then, a busy match might see ten shooters, but today, our matches consistently draw 80+ participants, with hundreds of competitors joining us throughout the year.
We’re passionate about fostering a welcoming community and advancing the sport of precision rifle shooting. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the sport, we’re excited to meet you and see the community continue to grow.

AZLRPRS was formed in 2007 by a small group of shooters looking to challenge themselves and push their marksmanship skills. At the time, those earlier matches saw maybe ten shooters on a busy day, but as passion for the sport grew, so did AZLRPRS. It quickly became one of the largest PRS-style groups in the Southwest Region. Currently, matches have averaged 80+ shooters with new shooters attending every match and AZLRPRS continues to attract national level competitors for the Arizona Tactical Precision Rifle Challenge.
We look forward to meeting every new shooter and strive to see continued growth in this precision rifle sport.
